Airport Arrival
One of the many beauties of flying private is not having to arrive at the airport hours early. Instead, arrive at your designated FBO (Fixed Base Operator) just 10-20 minutes before your private flight’s scheduled departure. Nobody wants to waste their day arriving hours early in a congested airport like you do when you fly commercial. No time to waste! Your private aircraft is reserved for you and your party only. There will be no stress about delays, certain limitations, or security lines.
FBOs
Fixed Base Operators are essentially private jet terminals. They can be stand-alone buildings or part of an airport reserved exclusively for travelers flying on private aircraft. FBOs typically have several lounges, restrooms, complimentary snacks, and other amenities to ensure comfort before boarding your flight. When you arrive at the FBO, the first thing you’ll do is head to the front desk to give the staff your name and aircraft tail number. When flying with Trilogy, all of the information needed for your flight will be on your itinerary, emailed to you several days before your flight.
Ramp Access
Some clients request ramp access when arriving for their private flight. This option is available at most airports/ FBOs, but not all. Many travelers enjoy this option because it is quick and convenient, especially when traveling with lots of luggage, children, or animals. Let your charter sales executive know you would like to request ramp access so that they can communicate instructions to both you and the flight crew.
Luggage
Luggage is another luxury of private flying. No waiting in lines to get bags checked. No worries that they will get lost and not make it to your destination. The amount of luggage you can bring on board depends on the aircraft size and type of luggage that you are traveling with.
- Will you be traveling with skis or golf clubs?
- Are you traveling with children?
- Will you have car seats or strollers with you?
- Do you need access to any of your luggage during the flight?
If you answered yes to any of these, make your charter sales executive aware so that they can get you on a comfortable aircraft with the appropriate amount of baggage capacity.
