There is an endless list of things that are more difficult than flying private with your little ones, but it never hurts to be informed.
Yes, traveling via private charter is not rocket science. But, just like airline traveling with minors, there are processes and tricks to simplify it. Airline regulations and private jet regulations are the same; a baby is allowed to fly on your lap until two years old. It is the law that any passengers above that age have a designated seat and seat belt. Private jets make bringing along a baby carrier or booster seat much more manageable than a traditional airline, luggage capacity permitting.
It is imperative to prepare accordingly for international flights. It is better to bring a copy of birth certificates for passengers under two years old than to need it and not have it. All passengers flying internationally will need a valid passport regardless of age.
Possibly the best part of flying with the family via private charter is the snacks. Endless snacks to keep the little ones occupied and happy. Be careful, though! Keep in mind aircraft operators typically implement cleaning fees, so consider leaving the play-doh and slime at home.
Be aware of proper flying etiquette and remind your children to not run in the cabin. Safety is the most important thing to us and your pilot crew.
