Fourth-quarter budgets, year-end closings, and board meetings cluster in October and early November. Corporate flight demand rises accordingly.
Football
College Saturdays and NFL Sundays run every weekend of the month, and Texas generates a disproportionate share of that demand. Fort Worth and Dallas departures to game weekends are among the most heavily booked slots of the year.
Hunting season
Openers across Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and South Texas fall through October. These trips also skew toward smaller airports and turboprop-capable fields, which narrows the pool of suitable aircraft further.
Fall leisure
New England foliage, Rocky Mountain trips, and early ski-season reconnaissance.
